We are about to engage in several days of Renaissance poetry. When we use the term poetry, what do you think of and why? Do you enjoy poetry? Why, or why not? Do you have a favorite poem or poet?

Poetry is a form of expression of a person’s deepest thoughts and feelings. Most of the time poetry covers experiences or relationships of that person. I absolutely love poetry, because it is the only way that I have ever been able to truly express myself the way that I want to. There are so many different ways to write poetry. Also, you don’t have to write it on just one thing, so that makes it easier to write poetry. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson.

I am more sympathetic towards the creature than Victor. The creature is hideous and people automatically shun him for his appearance. When he first opened his eyes, Victor screamed and ran away. The poor monster had to learn about life the hard way by himself.

I still feel sorry for Victor. He has to live with the guilt of Wiliam and Justine’s death. He feels he is held responsible because he created the creature.

yes. I love poetry. Poetry is a unique way of telling a story. There are so many different types of poetry. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson also. Her poems are very deep and I like that.

When I think of Poetry, I think of very confusing thoughts. Poetry can be very tricky and complicated to understand if you are not the author. I think it is good for getting things out of your system. I like to write poems to try and express my thoughts, but also conceal them to other readers. I do not like reading poetry because I do not always understand it. My favorite poet is Sylvia Plath because she uses her poetry to show people how she feels about things. Also, she makes the coolest poems that are about everyday events.

I think poetry is a way for people to express their thoughts or feelings dealing with whatever subject matter he or she would like to write about. Sometimes I enjoy poetry and other times it is very confusing to me and I do not enjoy it as much. What I think is cool even when it is confusing is that there is a message hidden underneath the words written and you have to figure it out. My favorite poet I think is Robert Frost. I did my research paper on him last year and I got to analyze a bunch of his poetry and I think I like him the best.

Although some poetry is confusing and sometimes takes a few times of reading over it to understand, I actually enjoy reading it. When I hear the term poetry, I think of romantic movies, because a lot of romantic movies use poetry to lure the person the girl or boy is trying to get. Poetry, often times, to me, is easier than trying to read a book, just because I think it is more interesting. One of my favorite poets is probably Emily Dickinson because I love her style and she often times writes about interesting subjects.

When I think of poetry, I think that I have to create a poem that has the right beat or the right syllables. I personally hate poetry because it requires me to find the right word match and the beat of the poem. I do not have a favorite poet because they are confusing, and most of the time, I just try to figure out what they are trying to say.

Poetry can be expressed in so many different ways. When I think of poetry I think of rhythm and beats. Poetry can be expressed within someone and it be expressed in many different ways.

Poetry is a good way to show your true feelings. You can express yourself like you can in a drawing or an action. I do not enjoy poetry but many do, so I think it is good that we learn it for those that enjoy it.
